What Did The Client Want?
Back in April 2022, a client approached us for advice as they were looking to have a golf simulator studio installed in an un-used room in their home. The client was looking for a full turnkey provider; to offer the best value and service, by giving him a space to practice his golf and fit in around his busy work and lifestyle. Corporate golfing events being a regular for the client, also meant that he wanted to make sure he kept up a high standard when playing.
At Unique we are proud to be partnered with the great team at Golf Catcher, who recommended us to the client for the job. An architect had already completed a room design and the client already had a proposal from another firm to have carry out the works. After providing the customer with a plan and quotation, we offered the best value and solution for the work in question, compared to other competitors.
What Did We Do?
Following in-depth planning of the project, in May three of our Technology engineers travelled up to Doncaster and began the installation. Throughout one week, the team converted a spare bedroom, within the annex, to a custom golf studio. An upgrade on the original design was made to allow the room to be multi-purpose, with in-ceiling speakers and an AVR for watching films with the family.
At the heart of the simulator, we opted to use the latest TrackMan4; the unit of choice amongst top golf players. Utilising 2 radars and 1 camera, the TrackMan provides the most precise and realistic golfing experience from your own home.
While carrying out the work, no major problems were occurred. The biggest challenge was the proposal of the right products and finishes to tie in with the existing house and create the look and feel that the client wanted.
After a week of work, with great satisfaction from the client, our team competed the home simulator room. We have since arranged another visit to discuss and quote further projects being carried out.
